As a mom to a little one myself, I understand feeling worried about how your child will act in front of the camera. Know that I keep my sessions playful instead of posed, but it’s okay if they are shy, and it’s okay if they cry—because sometimes that’s who they are.
They aren’t performers, so we won’t stage the moment. I prefer genuine grins and unfiltered emotions over fake smiles and controlled expressions. And I have a feeling you do, too!

WHY DO COUPLES NEED AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
Being a natural light photographer means I prefer natural lighting and don’t bring studio lights to outdoor photo sessions. Natural light photography perfectly complements my editing style, which favors true-to-life colors. Don’t worry if your venue is dim—I can still capture your event beautifully with well-executed flash and editing!
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A “NATURAL LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHER”?
No way! While weddings and family sessions are my most requested shoots, I’m also happy to document sweetheart sessions, anniversaries, boudoirs, graduating seniors, and any other occasion celebrating family!
DO YOU ONLY PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS & FAMILIES?
You betcha! I love to travel within the East Valley area of Phoenix, AZ, but I also enjoy shooting in my home state of central Minnesota, where I never charge travel fees for weddings. Interestingly, because of the intensely beautiful contrast of landscapes, I’ve worked with the same couples for their destination engagement session in Arizona, followed by their wedding in Minnesota!
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR BOOKINGS?
Although I’m confident photographing weddings on my own, I typically bring an assistant to help with gear and running small errands onsite. You’ll have the option to add a second photographer who understands my style, knows what shots to get, and helps wherever you or I need them!
DO YOU SHOOT ALONE?
During our initial meeting, we’ll walk through timeline options to help you envision the day and decide how to prioritize and maximize your photography time. Eight hours of wedding day coverage is the average needed to cover everything from getting ready to formal dances with parents. I’ll share the timeline with you so you can use it to plan your big day!
HOW MANY HOURS SHOULD WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?
My 2025 calendar is officially open for booking. To serve my couples exceptionally well, I take a limited number of weddings each year. Portrait sessions are usually booked 1-2 months in advance. If you need a last-minute session, please reach out, and I’ll see what I can do!

Leading up to your wedding or session, I’ll help you create your timeline, choose a location, select vendors, and coordinate your outfits. Know that I’m fully accessible before your celebration even begins!

It’s finally here! I’ll greet you with a warm hug, a selfie, and a reminder to be yourself. Live in the moment while I hype you up, keep the schedule on time, and handle anything unexpected with my camera in hand.
STEP THREE: PHOTOGRAPH
Pop the bubbly because your photos have arrived! Reminisce in every detail captured, cry happy tears remembering the emotional moments, and belly laugh seeing the bloopers. Keep the fun going by sharing your images!
