Callie and Jon are both from my home state of Minnesota, but they chose to have a destination wedding and get married in a family member’s backyard in Litchfield Park, Arizona during March – and based on Minnesota’s weather this year (and the constant snow storms), I’d say having it in Arizona was a brilliant idea because their day was PERFECT.
The day started with Callie and Jon getting ready at a nearby airbnb where they shared a first look and also took photos with their cute pup Cardi! From there we ventured to White Tank Regional Park to grab a few photos of the two in the desert scenery! Next up we traveled to Jon’s father’s home where the rest of the day would be taking place! After family photos, the couple did something that was so unique – they held a cocktail hour prior to their ceremony! They even greeted all of their guests on the driveway where we snagged a photo of them with each of their guests! They then could grab a signature drink inside that was crafted in honor of their kitty cat they had to leave in Minnesota this trip. After the cocktail hour, it was ceremony time! It was stunning with the White Tank Mountains behind them! Another special thing they did during their ceremony was had their dads sign their marriage license. After a bit of mingling after the ceremony, the couple and I ventured to a nearby site I found that had the most gorgeous wild flowers long the road to take some sunset photos! Afterwards, we went back to the reception for a yummy Mexican cuisine catered meal, dancing, and so much fun! I hope you enjoy the blog post of their day!
